2018 - The Year of ML/AI for Recruiting
Today marks the first day of 2018. This is an exciting day! I'm currently on my 30 day countdown for my first year in Business at (Nxtlevel.io). Anyone in my position understands the significance. Today, I have decided to start a Blog. My goal is to help challenge the way people recruit today.
2018 is going to be the year of Machine Learning and AI within the recruiting industry. Every day I have people asking me if we're trying to replace recruiters at Talentful.ai - easy answer, no. We want to help recruiters save time and energy searching and spend more time connecting, building relationships, and attracting top talent in today competitive market.
The question I want to ask everyone: how do you attract top talent?
A software engineer has a million options in today's market. "Bob" is interviewing at #Facebook, #Google, #Microsoft, #Amazon and more! How can we compete with a big name? How can with compete with large salaries? How can we compete with free meals at Google and their insane Nap Pods?
These are some of the small challenges everyone encounters when they try to recruit "Bob." Thankfully, there are multiple ML/AI tools emerging to help you understand more about "Bob." As the year progresses, I challenge you to take a leap of faith and test some of these tools. Spend more time getting to know candidates versus mass spam emails (there is a time and place for this). Save time sourcing with advanced technologies to spend more time on quality communication.
